Police Events

The St. Matthews Police Department conducts various community events to engage with the public.

The Citizens’ Police Academy provides an opportunity to educate the public on the police services and procedures employed by the St. Matthews Police Department. The Citizens Police Academy is an 8-week program designed to provide better understanding between citizens and the police through education.

Coffee with a Cop offers businesses a chance to connect the public with our officers. The officers also work with staff to serve customers.

Chat with the Chief gives businesses and organizations a chance to have the Chief speak and interact with their associates and customers on trending topics in law enforcement.

National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. National night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a fantastic opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. National Night Out is held annually on the first Tuesday of August.
