Serving Board Members
Dan Heiskell (Two Year Term – January 1, 2025 expiring December 31, 2026)
Experienced as the Chairman of the Forestry Department with the City of Anchorage, Ky., which is one of the first Tree City, USA. The purpose of Tree City, USA is to educate residents, builders, and developers in addition to working with utility companies to maintain the health and character of the trees, not only for aesthetic purposes, but also public safety. Mr. Heiskell is a past elected City Councilman with the City of Anchorage.
Chris Mooser (Three Year Term – January 1, 2026 expiring December 31, 2028)
A lifelong resident of Louisville with over 30 years of experience as a Real Estate attorney with extensive knowledge of property law and real estate transactions. Mr. Mooser is a founding member of Title Agency Support, LLC, and Louisville Title Agency, LLC. Working extensively with both residential and commercial properties has provided a deep understanding of property maintenance standards and compliance issues.
Tony Weiter (Two Year Term – January 1, 2026 expiring December 31, 2027)
A resident of St. Matthews for over 38 years. A retiree from the field of Telecommunications, and a proud graduate of St. Matthews Trinity High School and the University of Louisville. Mr. Weiter served as an elected City Councilman for the City of St. Matthews for 31 years, where he had input on zoning cases, budgets, adoption of ordinances, and general direction of the city. While always finding ways to be involved in the community, he has served on the Board of Jefferson Co league of Cities, U of L Alumni Association, Waggener High School Board and other various boards community wide.
Wes Geis (Alternate) (Term – January 1, 2025 expiring December 31, 2026)
An Independent Third-Party Consultant, with over 25 years’ experience, and a resident of St. Matthews for over 49 years. His foundational legal studies in Civil Procedure, Torts, Contracts, and Property, have developed a strong ability to read, interpret, and analyze statutes and ordinances. This expertise allows him to assess the intent of ordinances, weigh the severity of non-compliance, and evaluate abatement costs. Mr. Geis has experience in business management and strategic leadership, a strong focus on operations, compliance, and overall business oversight.
Gary Hopkins (Alternate) (Term – January 1, 2026 expiring December 31, 2027)
A resident of St. Matthews since 1975, where he has raised his family. Mr. Hopkins is retired from Toyota in Georgetown, Ky, after 17 years as an Assistant Manager of Quality in the Welding Shop. Prior to Toyota, he taught students at the high school level. He is a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church, enjoys photography, genealogy, woodworking, and is an avid walker.
