The St. Matthews Police Department sincerely apologizes as we are minimizing all public interactions at our department and closing the lobby to walk-ins, Tuesday March 18, unless it is an emergency. This includes suspending our fingerprinting program, as well as the prescription drop off and picking up copies of reports.

If you need to obtain a copy of a report, you can contact records at 502-899-2537 or our Executive Assistant by email ashley.bratcher@stmatthewsky.gov and she will be able to assist you.

If you need police assistance, please call 502-893-9000. Our dispatchers are readily available to assist you and will have an officer dispatched to contact you. Our officers are currently responding to emergency calls for service, injury and non-injury accidents. On non-injury accidents, officers will be giving instructions on how to create a Civilian Traffic Collision Report via the Kentucky State Police Open Portal. We are not responding to accidents on private property unless there are injuries. Our officers have also been advised to use their discretion for certain report runs, and may contact you by phone, to avoid any unnecessary contact (or social distancing).

These are necessary measures to be taken, for the health and protection of our officers and citizens. We do understand and greatly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We hope to return to normal operations in the coming weeks.
