The meeting of the City Council was called to order at 7:01 p.m., at City Hall.

MINUTES: Motion was made by Councilman Tonini, seconded by Councilman Weiter to
approve the minutes of the meeting of January 25, 2011.

Upon vote (7,0), the minutes were unanimously approved.

Mayor Bowling announced the next Jefferson County League of Cities meeting is Thursday, February 17, 2011 and the Mr. Jon Steiner of Kentucky League of Cities is the speaker.

BILLS: Motion was made by Councilman Tonini, seconded by Councilman Weiter to approve the list of bills, attached, for payment, total $181,868.55.

Upon vote (7-0), the motion was unanimously approved.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Councilman Weiter

Announced that the next newsletter went to the printer on February 8, 2011.

Councilman Monohan

Handed out information regarding Automated External Defibrillators (AED), he requested the city to purchase several to be installed in different areas of the city, one AED for each floor of city hall, the concession stand at the ballpark, the community center and the works department shop on Ten Pin Lane.

Councilman Tonini (Police Chairman)

The EEOC (a/k/a Kentucky Human Rights Commission) case is back on with Laura Staley.

Councilman Flynn

The residents of Leland Road, Elmwood Road, Washington Square and Ormond Road have been questioning what the city is doing for closing these roads from access to the Masonic Home. Councilman Wissing will gather the owner’s names and addresses and write a letter to send to them. Then they will have a caucus meeting.

City Attorney Foster Haunz reported that the ABC lawsuit by Cox’s Smokers Shop will not be over quickly, because everything has to be filed in Frankfort, since the State ABC is involved. Two motions to dismiss were held on February 7, 2011.

ADJOURN: Upon motion made by Councilman Tonini and seconded by Councilman Weiter the meeting was adjourned at 7:52 p.m.
